Apply Now to Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment is currently accepting applications from students who wish to start in the spring or summer semester.

Before You Begin the Application

Helpful Tips As You Complete the Application

If you are not a new student, do not complete a second application. Doing so may slow down your application processing time.

As you complete the application:

  • Confirm that the name you enter when you set up your account matches the name on your transcript. Later in the application process, you will be able to indicate a preferred name.
  • When setting up your account, use a personal email, not a school email. We do not recommend using a parent email account.
  • When uploading your high school transcript, ensure that it includes:
    • the signature of an administrator from your high school (e.g., principal, counselor, etc.)
    • grade level with academic year (e.g., 2022-23 9th, 2023-24 10th)
    • high school courses completed and in-progress
    • unweighted high school GPA
  • If you need to leave the system before you have completed your application, completed sections will be saved in the system, and you can return to your application using the "Sign In" button on the Get Started page.

After Submitting the Application

Step 1. Create your Central Piedmont student login.

Once your application is approved, you will receive an email with your Central Piedmont ID at the email address used to create your MyConnect account. Your username is the first part of your email.  For example, if your email is newstudent01@email.cpcc.edu, your username is newstudent01.

Step 2. Sign up for multi-factor authentication.

All students are required to sign up for multi-factor authentication (MFA). MFA adds an extra layer of security to your login by requiring more than just your password. Learn more about how to set up MFA on your device

Step 3. Complete orientation and advising.

You are required to complete Dual Enrollment New Student Orientation prior to your first semester at Central Piedmont. You will access orientation through Brightspace using the Central Piedmont student login you created in step 1 and can refer to the presentation at any point during your time at Central Piedmont.

To get credit for completing this requirement:

  • Click "Enroll in Course."
  • Select "Unit 1: Getting Started" and then review all units in the course.
  • Pass the Dual Enrollment final quiz in Unit 9.
  • Please allow two business days for scores to be entered in our database. You will not be able to register for classes your first semester until your passing quiz results are entered into our database.

Step 4. Plan and register for classes.

  • Check your Central Piedmont email for confirmation that your paperwork has been processed.
  • Mark your calendar with the registration date found in your confirmation email.
  • If you haven’t already, plan your courses for the upcoming semester in MyCollege
  • Register for classes in MyCollege, referencing this instructional video as needed.
  • Remember: Only register for courses from your approved pathway. If you register for a class that is outside of your approved pathway, you will be dropped from that class by the Dual Enrollment Team.
  • If you have questions about what classes to take, please email us at CCP@cpcc.edu. However, keep in mind that we are not high school advisors and therefore cannot advise students about high school graduation requirements.

Step 5. Pay for fees and books.
Please refer to the Fees and Books page for details and deadlines.

Step 6. If applicable, receive credit for prior college coursework by sending an official transcript to the Records department at Central Piedmont.

Step 7. If applicable, request accommodations.

Students: Accommodation plans such as an IEP or 504 Plan do not automatically transfer to college. If you would like to request accommodations at Central Piedmont, contact Disability and Access Services.

Parents/guardians: You can assist your student(s) with requesting accommodations. However, once they are enrolled at Central Piedmont, parents/guardians will not have access to students' educational records due to protection under FERPA, unless the student has granted you access to their records by completing this Student Information Release Authorization Form (PDF) and emailing it to Central Piedmont’s Records department.
